This position will support the Youth Director in planning and leading programs that help young people grow in their Catholic faith, build meaningful relationships, and become active members of our parish community.

FAITH FORMATION
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
ADULT LITURGISTS & VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDChildren’s Liturgy of the Word is offered for children age 4 through grade K during the 9 a.m. Sunday Mass beginning Sunday, October 11. We are looking for Adult Liturgists and volunteers to help in the ministry. Materials and training are provided for the adult liturgists.

Encountering the Sacred Heart

Join us for this special event at SVdP featuring the Sisters of Pro Ecclesia Sancta. This event is being offered on two different dates: Sunday, October 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Both will take place in Kampschneider Hall.
The Sisters of Pro Ecclesia Sancta will be teaching us and leading us through prayer and reflection all surrounding the topic of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Each session includes a simple meal (dinner on Sunday and breakfast on Monday). Costs will go directly to help cover food costs as well as help supply a donation to the Sisters.
The cost is $30 per person and is payable at the event. We accept cash or check (made out to St. Vincent de Paul Church). Please use the link below to RSVP and let us know which session you plan to attend.

Fall Clothing Drive
Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the SVdP Parking Lot
Gather your gently used fall and winter items for the parish Fall Clothing Drive. Your tax deductible donations will be distributed to those in need. We welcome all sizes – adult and children. Winter gear is always needed. Drop off is at SVdP Parish Parking Lot.

HELP Medical Equipment Donation Drive
Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the SVdP Parking Lot
The Outreach Council is having a medical equipment/supply donation drive in conjunction with the SVdP Society Fall Clothing Drive. This will help all ages to obtain low-cost equipment/supplies from HELP Medical Equipment non-profit at 8522 Park Drive in Ralston.
They are looking for all types of ambulation assist devices, wheelchairs (electric and manual), bathroom/shower assist devices, grab bars, unopened medical supplies (wound, incontinence, etc), and patient lifts.
They DO NOT accept opened packages of supplies, tracheostomy/diabetic supplies, electric seated scooters. They DO NOT accept electric seat scooter, Tracheostomy/diabetic supplies, opened medical supplies, anything with urine/smoke odor, broken equipment or C-PAP machines.
Blessing Bags for the Homeless
ST. VINCENT de PAUL FEAST DAY
Sunday September 27 after the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses in Kampschneider Hall. Donation collections available throughout September in the Narthex.
To mark the September feast day of our patron, St. Vincent de Paul, the Outreach Ministry Council is coordinating a parish-wide effort to assist the needy. Help us build 1,500 “Blessing Bags” that will be distributed to the homeless of our community. The bags will contain hygiene and daily care items.
A collection bin is available in the Narthex through September 20. No time to shop? Monetary donations are welcome. Please drop checks with a notation for Outreach Service Project at the Parish Office or in the collection basket at Mass.
THEN, on Sunday, September 27, we invite parishioners to come to Kampschneider Hall following the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses to help assemble the Blessing Bags. Donuts will be served!

Special Request to SVdP Families: We are seeking notes of encouragement and/or hand-drawn pictures to include in our Blessing Bags. This offers a wonderful opportunity for families to work together to send a message to someone who could use a boost.
